BDCC leads the Rural Community Development Initiative (RCDI) to strengthen the economic resilience and vitality of Southern Vermont’s rural communities. Funded in part by the USDA and launched through the Southern Vermont Economy Project (SVEP), this initiative builds capacity among local nonprofits, municipalities, and community leaders to tackle region-specific challenges. From workforce development and infrastructure planning to technical assistance and strategic collaboration, BDCC’s RCDI work empowers rural towns to take charge of their futures and create sustainable, community-driven solutions.
BDCC invests in the drivers of the regional economy so that people, businesses, and communities in Southern Vermont can thrive.
